The Burning Bush
About this Portfolio
While I am by no means religious, I have always been drawn to stories of miracles and spiritual phenomena as told in ancient texts; stories on the lives of saints
These photographs were made as an inquiry into the biblical account of The Burning Bush as written in Book of Exodus’. According to the narrative, the bush, located on Mt. Horeb was on fire, but was not consumed by the flames. Instead, it was a sign from God for Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. As a powerful religious symbol, the burning bush represents miraculous energy, sacred light, illumination, and the burning heart of purity, love and clarity.
